This is my new work Nimhue, a personal work with not so much story behind it.
For this work I wanted to come back to my old style like in my work be my valentine,very digital but with the semi realistic style of my latest works.
With a very simple subject ,soft ambient lighting and a limited palette, I could focus in detailing her face , leaving the rest of the image in darkness and less detailed.
The tatoo was added at the very end after looking for some flowers tattos in google,with all the main colors of the palette it works very well giving unity to the piece without being too distracting.
If I have to be honest, I was not very happy with this picture and I leaved in storage waiting to be fixed in some ways but after being included in the ipcoming EXOTIQUE7 I decided to upload just the way it is.

Is she an evil witch or maybe a princess in disguise?
Is she sad or just angry?She seems like she was crying a lot.
I dont know anything about her,all i know is that I cant stop looking at her seductive eyes...

This work was finished back in july but Im currently reworking it almost completely with fully background for including it on a upcoming book.So,I suposse Its time to show this old version here and it will be in Exotique 6 too.
The only references used were my own hands and also for the necklace.Its my most detailed face I ever painted,but sadly,resizing killed all the details and subtle textures.

Done in Photoshop and a little help of Painter.

i have been working on comissions for quite months so i wasn´t able to upload anything for a while.This was comissioned for a book that will be released early next year,among some others.
I wanted to express some femenine essences,this girl is a truly young beauty and inocent,but also broken inside with a touch of misterious and witchness ,and a sun-down olive background,very bright and very dark at the same time as a symbol of her inner feelings and duality.

I've been doing lots of quick studies lately, but I decided to transform one of then into my first (and maybe last) attempt at hight realism with an image of Miss Natalie Portman.
I am very satisfied with the result as almost for the first time I performed 90% of the work in Painter, using only a custom brush very similar to those of the Oil Pastels category, it leaves a nice texture and putting a low pressure it blends the colors greatly, I have also used a sparkled brush to detail and sculpt the shapes and the airbrush only for the strong peak lights.Even so the final adjustments and textures have been added in Photoshop as usual.
No idea how many hours it has taken me to finishing it, I have worked in and of on it about 4 days along the last week.Painted from scratch,no overpainting or tracing involved,colours picked by eye.

Long time no see u!
This is a cursed painting, the kind that at first, in a couple of hours, they promise a lot, and then every time you spend many hours, are getting worse, so I had to give it up and finish it at last.
I didn´t care so much at the moment,because im busy with a project that im very excited about it.

This was originally done for the ImagineFx Cover challenge,but i wasnt able to finished at time.I wanted a San Valentine,Red beautiful girl,and the face is a reworked version of "Persephone",my previous work.
Done in Photoshop cs3 & Painter 11,wacom intuos 4
